Set up a Service-Area Google Business Profile

Step-by-step guide so Bangkok customers can find your mobile Thai massage service on Google Maps and Search.

Why this matters: 76% of people searching 'near me' on mobile contact or visit within 24 hours. A Google Business Profile is free advertising on Google Maps every time someone searches 'Thai massage near me'.

1. Go to Google Business Profile

Open google.com/business and sign in with the Google account you want to use to manage the listing. Use a dedicated business Gmail if possible — not a personal one.

  • Use a Gmail like yingthaimassagebkk@gmail.com
  • This account becomes the owner — keep its password safe

2. Add your business name

Type "Ying Thai Massage BKK" exactly. Do not stuff keywords like "best massage Bangkok cheap" — Google will suspend listings that do this.

3. Choose Service-Area Business (CRITICAL)

When asked "Do you want to add a location customers can visit?" select NO. This is the key step for mobile/in-room massage. You will then be asked to define service areas instead of a storefront address.

  • Service-area means your home address stays private
  • Customers see service areas, not your house location

4. Define your service areas

Add up to 20 areas you travel to. Use specific district/neighbourhood names — they perform far better than just 'Bangkok'.

  • Suggested: Rama 9, Asoke, Thonglor, Ekkamai, Phrom Phong, Sathorn, Silom, Sukhumvit, Ari, Phaya Thai
  • Add hotel-heavy zones tourists stay in

5. Add contact details + website

Phone: 082 117 2094. Website: paste your published Lovable URL (or custom domain). This website link drives massive SEO benefit.

6. Verify your business

Google will verify by postcard (5–14 days), video call, or video recording. For service-area businesses, video verification is most common — you'll record a short walkthrough showing your service tools and proof of business.

  • Prepare: massage table, oils, business cards, this website on your phone
  • Show your face, the equipment, and your work area

7. Add high-quality photos

Upload 10+ photos: your face (profile), massage in action, equipment, herbal compresses, before/after relaxed clients. Profiles with 10+ photos get 2.7x more direction requests.

8. Set hours + services + booking link

Add each service from your menu (Traditional Thai, Oil Massage, Couples, etc.) with prices. Set the 'Appointment link' to your booking page so customers book in one click.

  • Booking link: yourwebsite.com/book

9. Get your first reviews

After each session, send the customer your review link via LINE. 5+ reviews unlocks the 'star rating' display in search. Respond to every review — Google rewards engagement.

10. Post weekly updates

Use 'Posts' to share promotions, new services, or photos every week. Active profiles rank higher than dormant ones.

Takes about 30 minutes — but becomes your best customer acquisition channel for years.

Tip: After setup, search 'Thai massage [your area]' on mobile to verify your listing appears (may take 1–2 weeks).
